As part of our commitment to quality and customer care, New Age Caravans provides the Bumper to Hitch Warranty on every new caravan for a period of 3 years from the date of first registration, when purchased from New Age Caravans or an authorised New Age Caravans dealer. This warranty is provided in addition to, and does not limit, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Your ACL rights are separate and cannot be removed. This manufacturer's warranty exists alongside your automatic consumer guarantee rights under Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in this document limits those rights. See our Consumer rights page for full details.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

VARIES

Third-party appliances and components

Covered by the individual manufacturer's warranty. Periods vary; applicable warranties and owner's manuals are in your owner's kit. New Age may assist with claims at its discretion.

For the duration of the warranty period, New Age Caravans will replace or repair, as determined at its sole discretion, any product determined to have a defect, without charge to you, provided the defect does not arise as a result of improper use or operation of the product, including use of the product for commercial purposes.

The full terms and conditions of the New Age Caravans Bumper to Hitch Warranty (MY25), including the complete list of covered defects, are supplied via the Owner's Handbook and Service & Warranty book with every new caravan purchase.

2. General conditions

  • Repair or replacement of a defective product is determined by New Age Caravans at its sole discretion

  • The warranty applies to defects in the product, not to damage arising from improper use or operation, accidents, unapproved accessories, unauthorised modifications, use outside specifications, overloading, or commercial use (including letting to third parties)

  • Towing by any vehicle other than a standard passenger vehicle (a road car, SUV or utility carrying up to nine passengers including the driver) is not covered

  • The warranty does not extend to fair wear and tear, tyres and wheel alignments, general maintenance, dust or stone damage, or water infiltration other than water ingress from silicone seal failure as covered under the warranty

  • Maintenance items are the responsibility of the purchaser

3. Registering your warranty

Your authorised New Age dealer registers your caravan's warranty with us at handover, so there is nothing you need to lodge. Registration records your delivery details and helps us and your dealer support you faster if you ever need to make a claim.

Registration does not affect your cover. Your Bumper to Hitch Warranty runs for 3 years from the date of first registration whether or not your warranty registration has been completed, and late registration will never be a reason to decline a claim. If you would like to confirm your van is on our records, use the Register your warranty form or contact your dealer with your chassis number.

4. To keep this warranty valid

Subject to the full terms in the manufacturer's warranty, the Bumper to Hitch Warranty applies where:

  • The product's serial number remains fully intact (if it has been removed, defaced, changed or tampered with, the warranty is void)

  • The product has been serviced within the first 1,000 kilometres of travel, and subsequently on the earlier of every 12 months (with the first being 12 months from the date of purchase) or every 10,000 kilometres of travel

These conditions affect the manufacturer's warranty only. Your consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law are unaffected.

5. Your maintenance responsibilities

As the owner of a New Age Caravans product, you are responsible for ensuring regular and proper maintenance of the product in line with the service schedule. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Wheel alignments

  • Tyre rotation

  • Areas of potential water ingress

  • Seals, and areas where sealants are used

Regular maintenance helps prevent conditions arising from neglect, which are not covered under this warranty. Caravans exposed to harsher conditions, such as extended off-road touring, should be serviced and maintained more frequently.

Maintenance obligations affect the manufacturer's warranty only. Your consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law are unaffected.

6. Range classification and conditions

Different New Age ranges are designed and rated for different usage. Gas venting regulations and other construction constraints limit the effectiveness of all ranges against dust and water penetration. Use the classification key below if you are unsure which category your caravan falls under.

  • On Road: Big Red, Oz Classic, Touring, Escape

  • Semi Off-Road: Adventurer, Extreme Utility

  • Off-Road: Expedition, Desert Rose (MY25 onward)

Desert Rose note: The Desert Rose model prior to 2025 was categorised as Semi Off-Road and is warranted accordingly. From MY25 onward, Desert Rose is Off-Road.

Semi Off-Road (Adventurer, Extreme Utility)

Designed and constructed for added strength and ground clearance, for limited unsealed road usage. These products are not designed for hard impacts, heavy landings, particularly rutted roads or tracks, or four-wheel-drive-only tracks; damage from unreasonable use in these circumstances is not covered. Tow at a safe speed for the conditions and adjust tyre pressures for uneven surfaces.

Under no circumstances should Semi Off-Road products be exposed to water crossings at, or above, body floor level. Water damage due to water crossings is not covered under this warranty.

Also not covered for Semi Off-Road products: impact or stone damage to body, chassis or running gear; soiling of fabrics and internal fitments from dust and other airborne substances; movement or damage from dislodgment of appliances and fittings after hard impact, heavy landings or severely rutted roads or tracks; and general damage arising from misuse.

Off-Road (Expedition, Desert Rose MY25 onward)

Crafted for increased strength, ground clearance and durability for extended off-road adventures. Off-Road products are not designed for tight, undulating or extreme 4WD tracks that would be unsuitable for trailers; use in such conditions, and any resulting damage, is not covered. For a safer approach, leave your caravan as a base camp and explore unsuitable areas in your tow vehicle. Tow at an appropriate, safe speed for road and weather conditions, take extra care on rough surfaces, and adjust tyre pressures for off-road travel. Products exposed to harsher conditions should be serviced more regularly.

We strongly advise against exposing Off-Road products to water crossings at or above floor level. Water ingress from floods or deep-water fording above the centrepoint of the wheels is not covered under warranty.

Also not covered for Off-Road products: impact or stone damage to body, chassis and running gear; soiling of fabrics and internal fitments from dust or other substances; wheel alignment; off-road use where the road is not suitable for travel; and decals damage due to terrain, environment or weather.

7. Appliance and component warranties

Appliances and components not manufactured by New Age Caravans are covered by the individual manufacturer's warranty rather than the Bumper to Hitch Warranty. Warranty periods vary by component and supplier. Where a third-party manufacturer warranty is offered, a copy of the applicable warranty and owner's manuals are placed in your owner's kit. Upon request, New Age Caravans may assist where possible and at its discretion with a warranty claim to those individual component manufacturers. Confirm the details for your caravan's specification with your dealer, or refer to your Owner's Handbook.

8. How to make a warranty claim

  • If you become aware of a possible defect during the warranty period, immediately cease using the product unless otherwise advised by your authorised dealer, and make a claim as soon as reasonably practicable

  • Notify your authorised New Age dealer in writing of the possible defect. Servicing, repairs and warranty support are handled through the dealer network. Find your nearest dealer

  • Provide: proof of purchase, full details of the alleged defect or damage, all maintenance and service records, and any other information requested by New Age Caravans. Have your chassis number (the NA number on your caravan's A-frame) ready

  • Make the product available to the dealership or an authorised repairer for inspection and testing

  • Do not commence repairs before they are authorised — the dealership will not reimburse repairs by an unauthorised repairer unless prior written consent has been provided by New Age Caravans

  • If you need to reach New Age Caravans directly, use the contact form and select the Warranty enquiry category

9. Your ACL rights

The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to any other rights and remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law. The ACL consumer guarantees (ss 51–64A) apply automatically to your purchase and cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by this document. If your caravan has a major failure, you may be entitled to a refund, replacement or compensation regardless of the warranty terms. See our Consumer rights page and Complaints process.
